EUTECTRODE XUPER 680 S WELDING ELECTRODES

In stock
LOW HEAT INPUT, HIGHLY ALLOYED STEEL MANUAL ELECTRODE

Description

  • Proprietary formulation for maximum safety margin welding crack repairs or joining a broad range of difficult-to-weld steels of unknown specification and in dissimilar combinations at ambient service temperatures
  • Outstanding weld tensile strength properties
  • Ultimate resistance to hot cracking weld solidification defects
  • Wide dilution tolerance even for contaminating trace elements
  • Superior resistance to hydrogen induced cold cracking defects
  • Self releasing slag for inclusion-free, smooth, regular weld profiles
  • Machinable, stainless deposits which rapidly work harden under pressure
  • Easy striking & restriking weldability in most positions
  • Electrodes available in a complete range of diameters

Applications

Designed for a very wide range of industrial applications, including tool and die repairs, repairing cracks in machine casings, rebuilding gear teeth, buttering layers and repairs on earthmoving and drilling equipment, and restoring worn shafts. It is also extremely useful for repairs when the steel is of unknown composition or non-specified grade. Joining a broad range of difficult-to-weld steels including cast, heat-treated, austenitic-manganese, air-hardening, high-carbon, stainless steels and for joining dissimilar steel combinations e.g. cutting blades, forming, forging and stamping tools, laminating rollers, gears, vibrating screen sieves, hydraulic systems and earthmoving equipment.
